Apricot & Strawberry smoothie

Apricots are one of my favourite fruits and are a popular summer fruit. They are rich in dietary fibre, an excellent source of vitamin A and a good source of vitamin C. They are a rich source of antioxidants are are low in fat. Teamed with some juicy strawberries, this smoothie is totally yummy!!!

Flaxseeds (also called linseed) are high fibre super foods. They are a healthy source of fat and fibre and can help lower cholesterol. Flaxseed can be sprinkled over cereals, mixed with yoghurt or added to smoothies.


Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 250ml milk (I used alpro coconut almond)
  • 1 banana
  • 4 mini apricots or 2 standard size
  • 4 strawberries
  • 1 tbsp flaxseed (I used Sowan’s milled golden flaxseed & prune)


Here’s what to do:

Remove stones from apricots and stalks from strawberries


Add along with the other ingredients to a blender & blitz until smooth
